So I guess they have noticed at work I am no longer a JW
by troubled mind inat one of the places i work the secretary is able to bring her kids to work with her .
last week her oldest turned four years old and they had treats and several of us brought her gifts during the day .
today one of my co-workers came up and wanted to know if she could ask me a question .

I also work with someone who is still active (pioneer) and she avoids me as much as possible at work. She only talks to me if she has to. She only does this I'm sure because I don't hold back from talking the way I want to (about sex and swearing). I thought JW's were supposed to have "LOVE" for everyone? why go door-to-door otherwise?

Is the Higher/ Further Education still enemy number one?
by Jerohobobonadad ini went to university without any problems in the cong.
two others in my hall went and no one made a public complaint.
i was interviewed age 15 on the platform by my dad (elder) about whether i would pioneer when i left school or not.

I don't know about other cong. but in the one I grew up in, I never heard anyone say that they would want to further there education on the stage. I think that was taboo to say that. they may have thought/felt that, but to say it in front of others, it wasn't done! I want to go back to school now, but if I were still going to the hall, they would discourage me for doing that for sure. I know I got a lot of grief from my sister (pioneer) who REALLY hated that idea....I was supposed to pioneer like her.

Impending Divorce
by love2Bworldly inwill someone please tell me things will get better for me.
i know i'm going to end up filing for a divorce in the near future, and i've already moved out.
but i feel terribly guilty, as i was not really in love when i married my spouse 3 years ago--and he is ending up to be such a mess for me financially and emotionally.

You will get through it, as I did recently. I felt horrible when I kicked my husband out, but it was strange how happy I was the day after the divorce. There was a period of many months in between though that I felt like crap. I did hate him for awhile afterwards because I found out he had cheated on me, but then I let that go too. I now don't have hatred for him like I once did and I have moved on with my life. I am enjoying life once again and discovering myself all over again. You will get through it and talking with friends, family, us...will help. I've talked to so many people about what happened between my ex and I and it really releases all that pent up frustration you have. Let it all out!!! You will feel better. Cry if need be, don't hold back the tears. They will go away after awhile. You have to trust me that things will get better for you and you don't have to feel bad for what you did. It's not right to stay with someone just because - you have to have deep love for them and if that's not there, then you shouldn't be either.
hope things get better for you. PM me if you want to talk more

I've heard of many cases in the United States where the court ordered doctors to give blood transfusions to minor's, but I've never heard of them doing that to an adult. However, since it wasn't in the US, maybe there laws are different over there????
